COVERAGE:
Filters rated up to 600V and 60Hz, intended for suppressing electro- magnetic interference in or with apparatus. The filters may be intended as a component of other equipment, may be cord-connected, direct plug-in or may be part of service equipment.

This category does not include surge suppressors unless they are part of a filter.

CSA Standard C22.2 No 0	General Requirements - Canadian Electrical Code, Part II
CSA Standard C22.2 No 8	Suppressors for Radio Interference

The Certified equipment appearing in this classification is judged to comply with the requirements of the NFPA-70 National Electrical Code (NEC).

NOTE: The components are Certified for use only as components of other Certified equipment where the suitability of the combination is determined by CSA International.

MARKING:

CSA Monogram (must appear);
submittor's identification;
model designation or equivalent;
complete electrical rating in voltage, frequency, input in amperes or watts;
no. of phases unless obviously intended for single-phase use only;
rated cold operating ambient temperature;
rated maximum operating ambient temperature;
date code;
additional markings may be required;

In addition, equipment intended for display, sale or use in the USA is required to include other information such as warning statements, installation instructions, etc., as may be specified in the NEC.
