COVERAGE:
Electric blankets, replacement heater elements, heat transfer presses, branding iron
plastic bag sealers, insecticide vapourizers, wax coaters, charcoal lighters, aquarium
heaters, electric toilets and similar appliances,cord-connected or permanently-connected,
household or commercial. This category does not include heating pads, automobile interior
heaters, automobile engine block heaters or battery warmers.

The certified equipment appearing in this classification is judged to comply with the applicable requirements of the NFPA-70 National Electrical Code (NEC) subject to the following qualification(s):
Appliances employing resistance-type heating elements rated more than 48A have the
heating elements subdivided. Each subdivided load does not exceed 48A and is protected at
60A max.
NOTES:
Heater elements are certified for use only in equipment where the acceptability of the combination is determined by CSA International.
MARKING:
In addition, equipment intended for display, sale or use in the USA, is required to include other information such as warning statements, installation instructions, etc., as may be specified in the NEC.
