|CLASS NUMBER:||6225-01||DESCRIPTION:||FUSEHOLDER ASSEMBLIES-|
Fuseholder assemblies, adapters for Type S fuses and the current-carrying parts pertaining thereto mounted on bases of suitable insulating material.
Fuseholder assemblies included in this category are intended to accept only plug fuses, including Type S fuses, not exceeding 30 amperes and 125 volts, cartridge fuses not exceeding 600 amperes and 600 volts, and HRC fuses not exceeding 6000 amperes and 600 volts.
Also included are fuseholders in the form of either single- or multi-fuse assemblies used in the construction of such devices as enclosed switches or panel-boards, industrial control assemblies and fuse reducers.
Fuseholders listed in this class are suitable for installation in equipment as follows:
|End-Use Product Type||Compliance with spacing requirements as noted below|
|Power Distribution||For plug type fuseholders complying with C22.2 No. 4248.11|
|Power Distribution||For cartridge type fuseholders complying with Table C1 of Annex C in C22.2 No. 4248.1 for power distribution equipment|
|Industrial Control – Power Circuits||For plug type fuseholders complying with C22.2 No. 4248.11|
|Industrial - Power Circuits||For cartridge type fuseholders complying with Table C1 of Annex C in C22.2 No. 4248.1 for power distribution equipment or Industrial - Power Circuits|
|Industrial - Control Circuits||For plug type fuseholders complying with C22.2 No. 4248.11and cartridge type fuseholders complying with Table C1 of Annex C in C22.2 No. 4248.1|
See class 6225 30 for Component Accepted fuseholders and fuseholder assemblies evaluated to other specific end product standards or for which additional evaluation is required.
