Class Description

CLASS NUMBER: 6225-30 DESCRIPTION:FUSEHOLDER ASSEMBLIES?Cartridge Type-Component Acceptance Program

COVERAGE:

Cartridge type fuseholder assemblies included in this category are intended to accept only cartridge fuses not exceeding 600 amperes and 600 volts, and HRC fuses not exceeding 6000 amperes and 600 volts.

Also included are fuseholders in the form of either single- or multi-fuse assemblies used in the construction of such devices as electrothermal and other appliances, commercial equipment, medical equipment, information technology equipment and the like.

CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTABILITY

Fuseholder assemblies listed in this category have been either evaluated for electrical spacings requirements for use in the equipment indicated in the records only, or have not been evaluated for electrical spacings , and the component assemblies are required to be so evaluated to the end-product requirements where they are used. The records are will indicate either the intended end use product for which the fuseholder assembly is evaluated or the minimum spacings (both clearance and creep-age) measured.

REQUIREMENTS:
