DESCRIPTION:

PIPE AND PIPE FITTINGS-Floor, Area and Shower Drains and Cleanouts

COVERAGE:

Floor, area and shower floor drains and floor cleanouts used in residential construction, as defined in Part 9 of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC). This covers drains which are not used in conjunction with a fixture or shower receptacle.

REQUIREMENTS:

CSA Standard B79

Commercial and Residential Drains and Cleanouts

MARKING:

All marking required by CSA must be permanent, legible and visible after manufacture of the product. The contents consist of:

submittor's identification;
load classification;
additional marking as may be required by the applicable Standard for specific usages;
standard number "B79";
CSA Mark.

The marking method consists of casting, stamping, indelible marking or equally permanent marking, applied at the factory.

Products shall be installed in Accordance with the Local Code of the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
