DESCRIPTION:

AUTHORIZED PACKAGERS OF CSA CERTIFIED PRODUCTS-

COVERAGE:
The packagers program is concerned solely with the markings appearing on the package insofar as they relate to the requirements for the CSA Certified contents and to the CSA Mark. Companies are authorized to apply the CSA Mark to packaging produced in their facilities with CSA Certified products contained therein.

This classification applies to packages intended for general sale.

This program does not apply to the durability of packaging or the materials used in the manufacture of the packaging. The program is not applicable to wire and cable products, to products in kit form or to child resistant packaging.

REQUIREMENTS:

CSA Certification Notices No 232 series

MARKING:
All marking required by CSA must be permanent, legible, and located where readily accessible for review. The contents consist of:

packager's CSA file number;
date code or equivalent;
additional markings as may be required to comply with the Certification requirements applicable to the type of product contained in the package;
CSA Monogram.
